THOSE WHO EXPERIENCED DISCRIMINATION were more likely to say that they were concerned about accessing critical services as they age, such as medical care, long-term care, and caregiving support.
SAGE and University of Nevada, Las Vegas partnered to conduct a survey of LGBTQ+ elders, with a focus on understanding the issues that impact underrepresented groups, including rural, BIPOC, TGNB, low income, and elders with disabilities. The survey focused on critical issues such as health, services, social support, and discrimination experiences as well as political, financial, and aging concerns.
