In terms of research and aging services, LGBT elders are continuously overlooked by federal, state, and local governments. Not surprisingly, a majority of LGBT elders do not avail themselves to aging programs and services typically offered to the mainstream population.
This guide provides a list and description of potential grant opportunities for LGBT centers and organizations available on the federal level in the following areas: Nutrition Services, Housing, Community and Supportive Services, Older Workers Programs, Senior Employment and Opportunity Programs, Elder Rights and Protections, and Grants for Native Americans.
