SAGE National LGBT Housing Initiative: Increasing LGBT Cultural Competence

Many LGBT older adults face discrimination when applying for housing. The Equal Rights Center, working with the support of SAGE, found that 48 percent of older same-sex couples applying for senior housing experienced some form of discrimination (Equal Rights Center, 2014).
