Four Best Practices for Working with Diverse Older Adults

Funded by the Administration on Community Living (ACL), the National Consortium on Aging Resources for Seniors' Equity works to decrease the prevalence of disparities among racial, ethnic minority and LGBT older adults, their families and caregivers, by providing technical assistance to the Aging Network.

Tacoma Rainbow Center

Tacoma Rainbow Center is an LGBT Community Center serving Tacoma and the Greater Pierce County. It holds regular drop-in hours for people to use the computer lab, speak with staff and volunteers, watch movies, play games, or get referrals to local services. The center also offers regular groups and programs including a transmen discussion group and a SOFFA (significant others, friends, family, and allies) support group. Meeting space is also available for LGBT groups, meetings, or activities. MORE >
