NHCOA’s report makes clear that facing multiple forms of discrimination and living in social isolation can have devastating effects on the lives and well-being of LGBT Hispanic older adults, and that we need multiple responses to support this marginalized community.

This report focuse on understanding LGBT Hispanic older adults’ perceptions of the aging experience; identifying their unique health  and socio-economic challenges; exploring the culturally appropriate strategies to better serve this population; and determining gaps in knowledge requiring further research.
