This fact sheet briefly describes how your access to Medicare may be affected if you are in a legal marriage, after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Defense of Marriage Act on June 26, 2013. It was developed by the Medicare Rights Center and has information that was current on June 27, 2013.
