Understanding & Supporting LGBT Older Adults SAGE’s National Resource Center on LGBT Aging developed this presentation to be delivered by the Volunteer Education Ambassadors. This presentation provides a basic awareness and understanding of LGBT Older Adults. Delivery Format: On Demand Recording (coming soon) & In-person (in locations were a Volunteer Education Ambassador is available) http://www.lgbtagingcenter.org/training/ambassadors.cfm ACL/AoA Building Respect for LGBT Older Adults This tool was developed by the Administration for Community Living & Administration on Aging, with support from many groups including but not limited to SAGE's National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, FORGE Transgender Aging Network, National Center for Transgender Equality, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the National Senior Citizens Law Center, Rose Villa, and the Methodist Home of D.C. This tool is intended for long term care and other aging service providers as an introduction to LGBT aging. Project Visibility Developed by the Boulder County Aging Services, “Project Visibility: Person-Centered Care for LGBT Older Adults” is now available 24/7 as a web-based training. This free 30-minute interactive course is designed for staff of nursing and assisted living homes, and home health care agencies.
